Nina pouted when Inej took her bag but she didn't make a fuss. Instead she started examining the flowers and garlands on offer. She wanted to peruse first, then she would start picking things out.

"Well, maybe no geraniums, then. But something lovely that you like, just tell me if you see something or put it in the basket."

She hesitated a moment, but eventually she asked, "How are you doing?"
