a night at Kagura

It really was a lovely night. It wasn't hard for Nina to find someone willing to take Katya - a lot of people love the little girl and Nina trusts most of them to watch after her for a night. Spending time alone with Tommy isn't a hardship, either. They've come out of their rough patch and while not all things are mended, they are better.

Sometimes she thinks she's been too hard on him, but Nina isn't interested in playing games, nor does she plan to let someone tow her along with no direction in mind. If Tommy just wanted some fun, he could have it. If he wanted more, he'd have to do a bit of work.

But she likes nights like this.

Nina stretches lazily and rolls over until she can rest her head against Tommy's shoulder. The bed is bigger than the one she has at home.

"Well, your devious plan worked," she teases. "You'll have me all night and into the morning."

Tommy wraps his arm around her, fingers tangling gently into her hair. Because neither of them had been planning this, they weren't exactly prepared. No overnight bags, no sleep clothes or change for the next day. But it didn't really matter, did it? No, the worst of it would be in the morning when they might be a bit rumpled, but it wasn't as if they'd never stayed at the other's apartment for an impromptu night before.

He pressed a kiss on her forehead and smiled.

"And it's only starting. Shall I call room service or anything?"
