His next comment made her laugh and Nina smiled at the thought, and at the way his arm felt tightening around her waist. It felt good to be held like that.
"I don't think a Fjerden would know how to have a good time if one sidled up to them in a low-cut dress." Maybe that wasn't fair, but it had also seemed true. Maybe it was just one Fjerden in particular. "And in Ketterdam, most of my time was being bought and paid for, or there were command performances because the Dregs needed something. So even if they didn't deserve my time, I still had to smile."
She leaned up to kiss Geralt's cheek. "Let's go somewhere. If we go back to my place we can bring a blanket up to the roof or something. Or if the city's feeling like too much, we can hike out somewhere."
Either way, Nina didn't feel ready for the night to end.
