Frank had stepped into the bathroom, and had missed the moment when Guy had first hauled himself out of bed. But he did hear him, and Nina, and so he was out in a moment, toothbrush hanging from his mouth a bit stupidly, ready to say something or smooth things over.
She had it handled. Frank looked apologetic, and now had two people to look apologetic at instead of just one, and crossed to spit in the sink.
